Celebrate the Heritage of the National Road with Food & Wine!
August 3rd, 2011

The National Road Heritage Corridor’s 6th Frontier Dinner is on Friday, August 26 at the Christian W. Klay Winery, just off the National Road.
This year the dinner has a tavern theme in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the start of construction of National Road (1811).
Chef Joe Carei is preparing a “tavern style” 5 course gourmet meal. Dinner includes all the liquid refreshments you can consume! The menu was adapted from a real dinner menu served at Mt Washington Tavern during the heyday of the National Road and is light on wild game!!!
