An insider’s experience at Jamison Farm
Guest Blogger, Paul Fireman

Sunday Supper Jamboree at Jamison Farm in Latrobe PA in the beautiful Laurel Highlands was a great time. The event sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA),welcomed visitors from across the country and featured a family style menu of farm fresh foods from the region, square dancing, live music with Old Sledge, a live auction and farmers market.
Agricultural tourism is a great way to see working farms and eat great foods. Jamison Farms provides lamb to the best restaurants across the country and the Latrobe location is spectacular.
My highlight was getting to press apples with my daughter Leah in a hundred year old apple press and drink apple juice fresh from the press. We also enjoyed square dancing to the live music. The menu was excellent, and Leah loved the squash soup- she had three cups!
I recommend visiting the Jamboree when it comes around again next year. It was a great experience to share with my daughter.
