The New York Post highlights some of the best that Ohiopyle has to offer. Included in the “100 Destinations” article are tips on what to do, where to stay and some unique events to check out.
Things to Do:
-Meet up with the guides at Wilderness Voyageurs and raft the rapids on the Youghiogheny River.
-Take a ride on the natural water slides at Meadow Run.
-Cruise the Class I stretch of the Middle Yough by canoe.
-Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater® in nearby Mill Run.
-Bike the Great Allegheny Passage.

Where to Stay:
-Take a short drive to the impressive Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington for a variety of lodging options.
-If you’re looking for something cozier, try the River’s Edge Bed & Breakfast in Confluence. You can even commute from Ohiopyle by bike!

Events to Attend:
-Falls City Pub’s 7th Annual Beer and Gear Festival, June 20. $15 let’s you taste microbrews from around the region.
-Penn State Fayette’s Annual Coal and Coke Heritage Music Festival, September 19th in nearby Uniontown. The day is packed full of music, ethnic foods and local art.
