A Trillium Spa Experience

I’ve always wanted to get a massage, but the closest thing I’ve ever had to a spa treatment was an eyebrow waxing and an every so often salon pedicure. The opportunity to be treated to a day of pampering at Trillium Spa at Seven Springs was an experience I couldn’t pass up. I entered the spa just behind the hotel Main Lodge and immediately felt relaxed by the atmosphere.
It was hard to believe that just last year this earthy, clean and contemporary spa was a mountain chalet. A rolling fire, warm, natural colors, and oak floors of the reception area welcomed me, with a clean sweet blend of aromatic oils in the air, and I could feel the stress of the world around me slowly disappearing. While completing the registration paperwork, I was treated to delectable hors d’oeuvres and a fine selection of Seven Springs signature mountain spring water and vitamin water in tall stemware glasses.
A friendly receptionist gave me a tour of the facility, which featured stone tile, and marble counter tops and included steam rooms, saunas and multi-jet showers, all amenities for me to enjoy following my massage. She kindly introduced me to my massage therapist, and showed me to the changing room, where I was given a locker, robe, and slippers that had little nubs that massaged my feet as I walked down a long hallway to the cozy relaxation area, where I later enjoyed teas and fresh spring waters.
My massage therapist took me back to a treatment room and discussed what she would focus on during the Signature Trillium Massage, which combined the use of calming aromatic oils, warm compresses and dry brush exfoliation for the hard-to-reach areas of the back. It was a truly unique massage experience and I felt completely relaxed, while surrounded by the lulling sound of cascading water and soothing music.
It was evident that the focus of the entire staff of the Trillium Spa at Seven Springs was exceptional customer service. They made me feel like a celebrity, and my spa experience is certainly worth repeating and recommending to others.
