Boston Boasts Wright
April 23rd, 2009

With 5 million visitors in counting, there’s no doubt that Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater is a must-see for architecture buffs. The Laurel Highlands receives guests from all corners of the world who want to be inspired by this iconic attraction. But Fallingwater isn’t the only thing drawing people to the area. Frank Lloyd’s Wright House on Kentuck Knob, Ohiopyle State Park, and Fort Necessity are just a few of the many sites that are keeping visitors busy in the Laurel Highlands.
Anthony Flint, a Boston Globe correspondent, was not only impressed by Wright’s architectural marvels, but also with the surrounding region. Flint described, “There are plenty of other offerings, including hiking and kayaking in Ohiopyle State Park, checking out antiques and flea markets, and taking in the rich history of the region, which is the site of General George Washington’s early defeat at Fort Necessity, and also the country’s first interstate highway.” Click here to read Flint’s article in its entirety.
