Wright Around the Corner
March 6th, 2009
Fallingwater begins its 46th season in 2009 and will once again be offering a wonderful selection of tours, lectures, exhibitions and other special programs to give visitors new insight into this masterpiece. In 2008, Fallingwater welcomed a record number of visitors to the house which has been named “One of 12 landmarks that will change the way you see the world” by Travel + Leisure magazine.
For a very special experience at Fallingwater purchase tickets (in advance) for the Sunday Brunch Tour. This tour allows guests to spend nearly two hours in the house with an experienced guide and a limited number of visitors.
The morning concludes on the covered terrace as guests join their guide for brunch while Bear Run flows beneath the house, creating a memorable accompaniment to a delicious light meal.
Visitors can now expand their knowledge of Fallingwater by participating in any one of the new lectures. Offered every Friday, as well as selected other days during the height of the season, the lectures offer participants a chance to learn more about the house itself, the Kaufmann Family, Frank Lloyd Wright and Modern Design. Presented by a seasoned staff member, these lectures are a great addition to the house tour for first-time or return visitors.
